Ever since Sublime’s bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Josh Freese teamed up with guitarist/ singer, Rome Ramerez in 2009 to form Sublime with Rome, the group has been trying to revive the band ever since the Sublime's frontman, Brad Nowell died in 96’.

Their sophomore album, Sirens, was released July 17 and was co-produced by Paul Leary (who has mixed for Nelly Furtado, Jane’s Addiction, Weezer, Toadies, and U2) and Rome.

"It was great to work with Paul again, and with Josh Freese on drums, our chemistry was excellent. We had a great time recording the album. With Sirens, we have had time to really get to know each other on stage and in the studio, and that is hugely important to the overall direction of the band."

Sirens, which has more of a pop-rock, mainstream sound than any of their other albums, is an 11-track album that was released through BMG Chrysalis. Their latest single, “Wherever you will go,” kind of has that Maroon 5 mixed with a Sean Kingston kind of feel to it.

Sublime with Rome have been on their biggest North American tour to date since July 16 and will be coming to the Queen City on Wednesday to the PNC Pavilion with Rebelution and Mickey Avalon. The show starts at 6:30. Tickets prices start at $45.25 and range to $60.60 (included with taxes and fees). A $3.50 charge will be included in the final purchase price.
