Wilder Set to Release Album with a Derby Day Party

Wilder set to release debut EP with a Derby Day Party at The Southgate House Revival with support from Danny Mecher and The Home Demos, Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound and Mad Anthony!

Recently formed, greater Cincinnati Band, Wilder, will be releasing their first EP on Saturday May 2, 2015, with a Derby Day Party at The Southgate House Revival!  The band was recently formed by seasoned local songwriters Kelly Thomas and Randy Steffen.  Both, had ended long term projects in early 2014; The Fabulous Pickups and Sleepin’ Dogs.  Working as co-writers, the tunes quickly came together.  The pair added the talents of Zach Rowe on guitar and harmonies.  As the songs started to take shape and be filled in with electric guitars, phenomenal drummers; Kevin Hogle and Chris Alley joined the group.  The two have developed a very unique sound, playing off of each other and weaving percussion parts throughout the songs. One of the best Cincinnati has to offer, John Schmidt, has joined the band on bass, completing the lineup.  The first 6 tracks to be recorded were done, live at The Southgate House Revival (Revival Room).  Brian Jester (JCR Recording) and Elton Clifton (New Fidelity) engineers.  The open sound of the room is a big part of the album’s over all vibe.  Vocals were recut at New Fidelity Studios with engineer Elton Clifton.

To celebrate the release, which is on the same day as the Kentucky Derby, Wilder has invited friends; Danny Mecher and The Home Demos, Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound and Mad Anthony to share the bill.  This is indeed a party!  Derby hats encouraged, mint juleps will be served and there will be a Derby themed photo booth by Sarah Cochran!
