Reggie & the Full Effect Opens Tour w/ Royal Holland

Reggie and the Full Effect has come out of a 5 year hibernation and released a new album titled No Country for Old Musicians. The man behind Reggie, James Dewees, is embarking on a national tour to support the album’s release. The first stop of this landmark tour is Sunday, November 9th at The Southgate House Revivial. Music will begin at 8:30 with Local opener Royal Holland, and continue with New York’s Pentimento. The tour will continue out to the West Coast where Dewees will meet up with Saves the Day for the continuation of the tour. The SGHR stop will be the only show in the Cincinnati area.

Dewees states on the RATFE website, “I missed this a lot, Reggie was started as a funny side project during The Get Up Kids/ Coalesce days, way back last century. There has never been a goal to succeed doing this project, the goal has always been to entertain people as much as I can with music/ humor and everything else I love about life in general. Now,I am happy to tell you that Reggie is officially back and ready to entertain you again in the ways that only Reggie can.”

For his portion, Royal Holland has put together an ensemble of talented musicians to help him flesh out his normally solo act. These include local favorite Margaret Darling, Karen Reid (St. Louis’ Bunnygrunt), Matt Retherford  and Kendall Bruns (both Ex. Koala Fires).

Tickets for the event are available pre-sale for $13 and at the door for $16, they are currently available through The Southgate House Revival’s website.
