Logan Brill Brings Storytelling Through Music to Taft Theatre

Rising songstress Logan Brill, elegantly combines the elements of bluegrass, country, and Americana into her debut album, Walking Wires.

Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, Brill grew up in a household surrounded by music, making it natural for her to want to start to play herself.  “My Dad and Step-Dad both play guitar. My Dad was the one who first taught me how to play guitar. He lives in a cabin in the middle of the woods and most nights I spent out there we would stay up late sitting on the porch singing and playing all our favorite songs,” says Brill.

At just 22, Brill’s ability to tell stories through her music shows she’s wise beyond her years.  Citing influences from Emmylou Harris and Fleetwood Mac to newer artists Dawes and John Fullbright, Brill notes that her influences are ever-changing, allowing her to grow as a musician and artist.

Brill’s tour schedule keeps her busy, but she enjoys spending time outdoors and finding ways to keep active on the road and at home in Nashville. After recently performing with artist Charlie Worsham, Brill notes that she’d love the opportunity to tour with Worsham and artist Bonnie Raitt. “Bonnie Raitt is someone I respect so much, I think touring with her would be pretty amazing,” says Brill.

When asked where she sees herself 10 years from now, she says “I’m just hoping to continue to grow as an artist and keep making albums that I’m proud of.”
