The Queen City's Newest Gem is the DownTowne Listening Room

DownTowne Listening Room has created a true "listening room" in the historic old Shillito building in downtown Cincinnati. They bring in out-of-town folk, pop and acoustic rock artists who normally don't play Cincinnati. Then they pair them with emerging local performers.

Best of all, they present them in a quiet and cozy spot with a true “listening room” vibe where you can really hear the artists. It's not a noisy club or bar or restaurant; instead it's a cool classic building Club Room where people are attentive to artists and enjoy the pure music. It is even asked of people to turn off their phones and really turn on to the tunes. When is the last time you were at a show where the person in front of you wasn't holding up their phone the whole time?

DownTowne Listening Room is a non-profit, semi-private organization. But they invite music lovers to join them for shows. Ticket prices are considered donations to the artists and are required, the donation varies depending on the show. All money goes to the artists.

Artists that play the venue appreciate the respect for their craft and put on an intimate and inviting performance. Social time with friends and the artists occurs before and after each performance. Snacks and soft drinks are provided free. You are welcome to bring a treat to enjoy or share as well. BYOB for responsible adults is welcome.
