Macy's Music Festival Set to Cap off Magical Month of Music

The Macy's Music Festival, the nation's second largest annual R&B festival, is set to cap off the most incredible month of music in Cincinnati - ever.

With Great American Ballpark hosting Jay-Z/Beyoncé and Jason Aldean, the Bunbury and Buckle Up festivals at Sawyer Point and throw in a Jimmy Buffet show at Riverbend, Paul Brown Stadium is about to take center stage with two nights of top notch R&B.

Headlined by Charlie Wilson and Robin Thick on Friday and New Edition and NeYo on Saturday, The Festival has moved into their sixth decade of stadium sized crowds that brings tens of thousands of concert goers to Cincinnati annually.  Historically, 70% of The Festival attendees are from outside the Greater Cincinnati area, filling hotel rooms from the Greater Cincinnati/NKY airport to Sharonville.

"We really hit our stride last year with Festival attendance, and as a result, we upped our talent budget this year to keep things rolling", said Joe Santangelo, Festival co-promoter.  "Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the East Ticket office at Paul Brown Stadium all week from 10am - 5pm or at Ticketmaster.com".

With this wide array of music genres and performers, Cincinnati is establishing itself as an up and coming city on the music scene.

Along the way, the newly developed riverfront area has emerged as the centerpiece of an entertainment district that supports the bars, restaurants and downtown hotels.  "While baseball and football will always be our bread and butter, making Cincinnati a 'must stop' on the summer concert season is a great boost to all of us here at The Banks", said Jim Moehring of the Holy Grail.
