Elk Creek is an emerging band with two upcoming shows in Cincinnati within one week! Come get to know this indie blues rock band. Their songs feature the overdriven harmonica solos of Jeremy Brown, guitar from classically trained Brad Smith, and the vocals of Aaron Price. Drummer Travis Estell and bassist Nick Whittenburg provide the foundation for the songs.
Elk Creek’s debut EP, titled Greenfield Project, will be released in July 2014. The 7-song EP was recorded at Ultrasuede Studio in Cincinnati, owned by Afghan Whigs bassist John Curley. It was recorded and mixed by Brian Niesz, who has worked with artists including Heartless Bastards, The Sundresses, and Wussy in the studio, and hundreds of touring bands at WOXY. It was mastered by Dave Davis of The All Night Party. The album artwork will feature the illustrations of Matthew Stoll.
The EP will be available digitally on Spotify, iTunes, and Bandcamp. It will also be available on CD at Rock Paper Scissors in Cincinnati and at their live shows.
