Original Local bands are invading Tin Roof at The Banks! The Project 100.7/ 106.3 has teamed up with Tin Roof to host the monthly On-Tap Series. This event will showcase the best unsigned artists from the Cincinnati area! Each showcase will consist of 2-3 artists chosen by The Project's music panel. Tonight the series starts off with a bang with 2 phenomenal local bands, AutoMagik and Here Come Here!
We sat down with General Manager of Tin Roof, Tyson Shultzabarger to get some behind the scenes information...
What prompted Tin Roof to want to start up On-Tap Showcase with local bands?
Our Nashville location started a partnership with a local radio station, and started an On-Tap series showcase together. They built it up to make Tin Roof the place to be one on a Thursday each month. That is what we are trying to build here in Cincinnati. Along with The Project, we want to showcase Cincinnati's own original bands, continue to show Cincinnati we are the place to be for live music, and support Cincinnati bands.
What can a patron expect from the On-Tap Showcase?
People can expect to have a great time listening to live Cincinnati music hosted by a great staff in great atmosphere.
How can local bands submit to play the Showcase?
Bands can go to The Project's Facebook page, and post their interest on their page. Another option is to reach out to our Facebook page and @cincitinroof.
Who are some your personal favorite local bands?
Some of our favorites that put on great shows when they play at The Roof are Frankly Speaking, Flip Cup Allstars, The Reserve, Pete Dressman Band, and Carter New Band.
