We sat down with the Boyz prior to this amazing performance.
We are thrilled to have you back in Cincinnati for this once in a lifetime performance. What inspired the combination of Boyz II Men and the Cincinnati Pops?
We are honored to be a part of the Cincinnati Pops’ season and look forward to bringing our hits to life in a new way. It is truly a treat for us to perform with a live orchestra, backed by the Pops’ incredible talent, so this will be a one-of-a-kind performance
Have you ever done something like this before?
We have performed with a live, full orchestra before and it’s always a thrill for us. It’s a rare occurrence and it always makes for such a special, memorable show.
What can one expect at this performance?
Audiences can expect our classic hits as they’ve never heard them before. This will be a really unique concert experience and we can’t wait to bringing our songs to life with some of the most talented musicians in the country.
Over the span of your career, what has been some of your favorite experiences?
It's been an incredible journey. We’ve made it past our Twenty year anniversary which has been amazing - longevity in the music industry doesn't come easily, and I think it's a testament to all we've been through together as a group. Just in the last couple years we’ve been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, currently we have a residency at the Mirage in Las Vegas which has been extended through 2014. We also have a publishing deal with BMG and we've also been working on a new album which we will be able to share with the fans this summer. It's been more than we ever could have imagined and we just feel blessed and excited about what's to come.
