Austin Livingood Releases Stay With Me Single (for FREE)

Singer and songwriter Austin Livingood releases his single Stay With Me for free. The single will be available for download on NoiseTrade.com October 1st. This song is a single off his next EP. The EP which will be released November 12th, 2013 and is the second of three EP's that come together to create a story.

Austin feels blessed that he has had the opportunity to play music as a career since a young age. From playing with several different groups and having the opportunities to open for artists like Cold War Kids, Plumb, House of Heroes, and Parachute it has only fueled his passion for music. Being a song writer in his own right, while on tour last year, he decided to start creating his own style of music that he felt really defined him. Mixing his folk and rock sound together creates this beautiful alternative sound. Creating these three EP's that tell a story may seem a bit unconventional, but also very much describes Austin as an artists.

Stay with me was written as an original idea in January of 2013 and stayed generally the same until he hit the recording studio. After getting into the studio the music he thought was going to make this song come alive just did not work with the lyrics. He took some time, came back to the song, laid down the simple riff you hear at the beginning and the sound just built from there.

This song was recorded at Iron Wing Recording Studio. It was Engineered, Produced, and Mixed by Brandon Weaver (Seabird, Foxy Shazam, Needtobreathe) and Joe Dunlap. Austin has had the pleasure of having some of his best friends record instruments in the studio with him for this and his last EP. Austin when talking about the bridge in the song said, “We laid down a huge 10ft board to stomp on and even had a guy hitting on a kick drum case and we just let loose. It was such a fun time with friends all around and knowing that we created something awesome was just a benefit”.

Catch Austin Livingood this Sunday as he opens for Jon McLaughlin at The 20th Century Theatre
