The Breeders make their first stop on the LSXX tour at The Southgate House Revival for a sold out crowd! This tour marks the 20th anniversary of the Platinum-selling album Last Splash. Where were you the first time you heard this iconic album? This tour will be the first time that Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson have played together since 1994.
Last Splash was released on August 30, 1993 on 4AD. Reviews described the album as “effervescent, blistering and incoherent.” The centerpiece of the infectious album was the hit “Cannonball.” The video, directed by Kim Gordon and Spike Jonze, propelled the hit. LSXX, a deluxe anniversary limited-edition of Last Splash is set to release in April 2013. The deluxe anniversary limited-edition will be available as a 7 disc vinyl box set or a 3 CD package. Many of the recordings in the set have never been released before, and for other tracks it will be the first time they receive a worldwide release.
The Breeders only have about a dozen U.S. dates and the first stop for their “warm up” show is right here in Cincinnati at The Southgate House Revival. History will be made tonight at this sold out show!
