Bands you haven't heard of...but you will soon!
Hey I think we need a thread for relatively new bands to post their links and what-not. Due to the absence of Cincy Music over the past few years.....it has been hard to know who's out there in the local original music scene without going out every weekend to every bar.
There is the band profile page but everybody knows who Foxy Shazamm is and The Lions Rampant etc. etc. Let's have a thread for newbies to introduce themselves.
I'll start with my band--- The Ghost Trees
We are a female fronted Classic Rock/Indie influenced original band that has been together for about a year now. We are finishing up a full length this month and hope to become a bigger part of the Cincinnati music scene this year.
Our Reverb Nation site is http://www.reverbnation.com/#!/theghosttrees
Our Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/GhostTrees For some reason we don't show up on a facebook search so you'll have to follow that link.
Let me know what you guys think and hopefully we will see you out there some night.
Looking forward to checking out some other bands on this thread as well.

Not my band but one that I stumbled upon at the Mad Hatter a few months ago..
Aristo (rock/pop)

They certainly had a decent stage presence.

I'm not sure if they're set on this band name but it looks like for now they're calling themselves Sam Banta & the Fantastics. It features (well obviously) Sam Banta (formerly of the Starkweathers) and I believe Tom Bolton (Worthmores) and Zach George (Tall Tales/mint6ten). Not sure who or if anyone else is in the band.
I believe their debut show is on Sunday, February 12th at Northside Tavern. It's a benefit show curated by Nicole Ashley Smith. The lineup also features Billy Wallace, Army Coach, The Worthmores and Tall Tales. You can find all the info about the event on the Facebook page here:

Buenos Crotches
Reba Conqueso (Jellyhearts), Mackenzie (from Sundresses) and Nate (former Lion's Rampant drummer). Sounds like a lot of fun!

Alex Evans
I play modern folk, sort of in the vein of Tallest Man on Earth, Johnny Flynn, Mumford and Sons, the Avett Brothers, etc.
I recently released an EP (currently only available physically, though digital copies will be available through all the usual retailers on May 18th, 2012). I will be recording a follow up full length this summer at the Monastery in Walnut Hills.

Brother Trucker Blues Band is blues, classic rock, and Americana. We love playing in an original style, which, to me, means that we don't copy CDs to play songs. We might take the basic arrangement, but we bend it to our own style. We improvise solos instead of copying note-for-note. In short, we have fun. Go to http://www.reverbnation.com/brothertruckercincy to hear some cover tunes. We are working on a CD of original material which should be out this year.

My band, Faint Signal, can be classified to be in the "post-progressive rock" genre. We have yet to play a gig, but are ready to hit the scene soon.
