The Desert Gun

The Desert Gun is a group of old friends.  Those formative music years, when you first figure out that music is the greatest thing in this life, we spent together.  Learning our instruments, song structure, vocal harmonies, and how not to suck.  We did that together.

During the high school years we played in bands together, with others, or with anyone who wanted to jam on any given day.  Sometimes together, sometimes with totally unique sets of musicians.   We all began to go our separate ways, starting new bands, and moving to places like Michigan, New York and Florida.

But in the summer of 2010, we all found ourselves back in Cincinnati.  Each of us had grown…. as musicians and as people.  The time was right to bring the experiences we had gained apart, and match them with the familiarity we had from our time together.  And it took off… fast.  Though each of our musical minds had changed, had grown, we still had that ability to let the song write itself.  By incorporating each member's style, and collectively respecting what is right for the song, we have come up with a unique, yet familiar sound that has taken on a life of its own.  And we're just getting started.
