The Beaumonts were hugely popular in the Dayton-Cincinnati area in 1988-1995, performing at blues festivals and other major events (Tall Stacks, Taste of Cincinnati, Oregon District Halloween Party, openers at Coney Island) in both cities, and at the Crossroads Blues Festival in Memphis, as well as opening for John Mayall, Leon Redbone, Leon Russell, Flies On Fire, the Red Devils, James Cotton, and Johnny Clyde Copeland. They reunited in March 2014 and are better than ever.

Their music features the amazing guitar playing of Fred Gillespie, the driving piano and organ of Paul Goodwin, the solid bass guitar of Greg Calvert, and the rock solid beat of Steve Barton on drums. The strong vocals, and an engaging imaginative sound make every performance an event. Their music is a powerful blend of original and cover blues and blues-rock material born in the clubs and venues of the central US. They blend the sound of classic blues from Chicago and Memphis, soul from Detroit, and rocking blues from the South.
The Beaumonts originally formed in late 1988 in Middletown, OH and played throughout the Midwestern US until 1995. Starting out in the Cincinnati-Dayton Ohio area, their success landed them Little Kings Cream Ale as a sponsor. They toured to Detroit, Indianapolis, South Bend, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, Memphis, and New Orleans among many others. All of the original members regrouped in early 2014 and the Beaumonts are off and running again without missing a beat.
The group specializes in blues rooted original music and currently have 16 original songs that they play out. They have two albums “Get Ya Some!” and “the famous smokin’ Beaumonts” that were introduced in 1990 and 1994 respectively.
