Tajlyn began playing music before she started kindergarten. She was inspired to play the violin after watching an episode of Mr. Rogers. Shortly after she began learning the Suzuki Method. It came naturally to Tajlyn. Childhood passed and she continued to play the violin, performing with her fellow Suzuki Method classmates from time to time. Before Tajlyn became a teenager, her sister received an electric guitar for Christmas. At the time, her sister was more excited about the cordless phone the family received, so Tajlyn decided to add the guitar to the mix. At first, it was 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' along with other songs she played on the violin. Then, we would hear her playing 'Smoke on the Water', 'Stairway to Heaven', some Jimi Hendrix here and there. She played them so well, as if she had been playing for years. I remember reading the lyrics she wrote in elementary school that blew my mind. A short amount of time after Tajlyn picked up the guitar, she started picking up other instruments. The bass guitar, keyboard, harmonica, drums, didgeridoo, bongos...sometimes playing multiple instruments at once. My favorite performance was her rendition of "Bron-y-aur Stomp" by Led Zeppelin. Guitar in hand, sitting at the drums while playing the harmonica. In High School, Tajlyn continued studying and performing regularly with the violin, bass guitar and guitar. She was part of the Blue Ash Youth Symphony, Deer Park High School Band, and played in a group with her fellow classmates called Xenophobia. Most people never heard a peep from Tajlyn vocally. Just her random noises and beats she would bust out from time to time. However, I do not think any of us were surprised when we heard her sing for the first time.
Today, Tajlyn is focused on making and performing music, studying martial arts and enjoying life and nature. You can find her at the Southgate House in Newport, KY from time to time playing the open mic nights. She has also been spending a lot of time in the studio recording her first album, New Element, which will be out very very soon!
