By the time they’d cleared their schedules long enough to record their 2014 debut EP, they decided to change their name to Rose Quartz (as they’ve noted, it’s the stone of love), and pursue a slightly edgier sonic path. Since last year, Rose Quartz has expanded to a four-piece and released its debut EP, the well-received Axis of Love, opened for St. Lucia, Chk! Chk! Chk!, Cut Copy and STRFKR, among others, and was chosen to be a part of Red Bull’s national Sound Select artist program.
