J-Sheetz is more than an artist and a producer he is a representation of life. At age 10 J-Sheetz discovered his ability to rap and write poetry. After many set backs J-Sheetz tried to forget his calling at the early age of 16. Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio J-Sheetz has seen many up and downs in his life which you can hear in music such as "Life Changes" and "Who Knows". Going through these ups and downs however could have been the best thing to happen to J-Sheetz because it has given him ways to express himself with a very smart point of view. J-Sheetz relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2002 and has lived there ever since. In Cincinnati J rediscovered himself as an artist hooking up with many local producers and artists who thought he could take it to the next level. In 2006, J released his first mixtape “In the Building Volume 1” which has been retailed through Myspace and many other local distributors. In early 2007, J decided to take his show on the road and started to showcase his talent across the country. In 2008 he opened for acts such as Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane at the Ritz in Cincinnati, Ohio. After seeing the response he received from the release of his first mixtape J has been working on many other projects and expanding his record label "Powerhouse Music Group". On September 3, 2010 "33 Degrees of Cannibalism" was digitally released through retailers such as ITunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and Napster among others. His love for music has set him apart from many other acts with his brilliant punch lines and original style. You can expect many different ideas and styles to come together on a J-Sheetz album. From his hardcore songs like "Dangerous" to songs that show his more introspective side like "It's Just Me" you can expect to hear the truth through the eyes of someone who does not hold back even though the truth may hurt. His live performances are for the masses. Thank you for all the support.
