Featherstone is Holly Nibert and Savannah Burke, both born and raised in Burlington, KY. After hearing Savannah sing at a high school talent show in 2010, Holly decided that she would be her new singing mate. Savannah did not protest. The two combined forces and, after nearly a year of writing and practicing, they recorded the Featherstone EP with Jacob Tippey (of local band Calumet) at Curtis Inc. The EP received praise as it got routine radio airplay in KY cities like Bowling Green.
