Born and raised just south of Cincinnati, Christian Nicholas Gough (Moonbeau; The Yugos) has been a music scene staple for more than a decade. His new solo project breaks away from the boxes built around his previous projects. With dreamy heartland-pop vibes, full-bodied guitar riffs, and resonant basslines, Gough’s style is a recipe for good moods and dance grooves.
After a year of life-changing circumstances, Gough has poured soul and ingenuity into “Repeating Circles,” his first solo album set to release March 18, 2022, via Best Friend Records. The album blends Americana heartland rock tones with hints of psych-rock and synth-pop to create moments of unrivaled melodies sprinkled with warm nostalgia.
Gough has made his mark in Cincinnati and across the Midwest with Moonbeau and The Yugos, touring festival circuits and opening for bands like COIN, Com Truise, Walk the Moon, Islands, and more. With EP Hoop Du Jour already out and music for three solo albums currently in the pipeline, Gough is thrilled to continue moving forward with his solo venture alongside his multiple collaborative projects.
