Bobby Stevens started off like most teenage boys, with a guitar and a dream. Rock and roll had always been present in his upbringing, specifically Bruce Springsteen, who Bobby sights as his biggest influence. Bobby began to put those influences to work at a young age after finding friends in the local punk rock community and putting together his first accomplished band, "The Mad Ones" in 2004. Though the band was based in Cleveland, Bobby pursued his studies in Athens at Ohio University. It was there that he would gain true appreciation for folk and Appalachian music, also the first place he heard Townes Van Zandt, from the community of open mic performers found each week at the Casa Nueva Restaurant & Cantina . These influences would stick with him as his musicianship and song writing would mature. In the spring of 2009, Bob put together and released his first EP, "Up The Road And Back", a six song narrative containing stories of heartache, love, and leaving. The EP, recorded by longtime friend Andy Cook, consists mainly of one-take acoustic numbers, which captures Stevens' earnestness that is present at every live performance he gives
